Products per page
Define how many products you want to show per page. Default is set to 12 but you can change this to suit your requirements.
If you want to exclude products from displaying in the search results, you can define them here. When you click on the field, it will bring up a list of all the products in the database. You can either click on the products you would like to exclude from the search, or if preferred, you can type in the name of the products and then select them.
If you want to exclude whole categories from displaying in the search results, you can define them here. To do this works in the same way as excluding products. You can either click on the categories or type them in and select them manually.
By default, WooSearch searches for products by Title, SKU and description however this can be changed, and you can select the parameters of what information is used to display search results.
Search parameters – custom fields
If you have custom fields in WooCommerce, then you can make WooSearch find products by these custom fields. Simply enter the name of the custom field for WooSearch to include it within the search results. You’ll need to make sure the custom field name is entered exactly as is. If you’re not sure what this is, please refer to the documentation for the plugin you have used to create custom fields.
Exclude products out of stock
If you want to hide products that are not in stock, check this box. For this to work, you must have ‘manage stock levels’ set in WooCommerce.
The default placeholder text for the search bar is ‘Search for a product…’ – if you would like to display something else, i.e. ‘search by name or SKU’ then change the placeholder text here.
Show sidebar by default is set to yes. This displays the filters on the left hand side of the search. Click and select the filters you would like to display.
Display product stock status
This will show the stock status of a product.
Display delivery information
This will show a promotional message on the search results if selected. Under ‘delivery details’ choose a value. If the value of the product is greater, then the message will display. For example, if you type in 100, and in ‘delivery promotion text’ type in ‘free delivery’ then every product above 100, will display ‘free delivery’ in the search results.
Display text after price
This will display text after the price. For example, you may use it to show that a price doesn’t include tax by typing in ‘ex Tax’.
Display sale banner
select this to choose a sale banner that is shown when a product is on sale. You can change the placeholder text by editing the text in ‘Sale Banner Text’.
You can choose to include brand logos within the search results. You need to select the brand attribute ‘Brand’ for this effect to take place. Please note: brand logos relies on you having WooCommerce Brands plugin installed.
Cache Size. The default cache size is 10000. We recommend you don’t increase this value unless you have more this number of products as it will not make a difference to the loading speeds.
WooSearch automatically rebuilds the cache when product data is updated. However, if you experience any issues, clearing the cache will more often that not resolve these issues.
Here you can add custom CSS for further plugin customisation.
